59DaysOfCode Planning for 2011

Plans for 59DaysOfCode 2011 are underway. News is afoot. Excitement is brewing.

Let’s refresh:

  • In our first year, we raised over $100k in Prizes
  • We had 15 competitive teams make it all the way to the showcase
  • We held 3 workshops to prep the teams for stage & pitch
  • More than 700 people came through the door to check out the talent
  • Game N Go helped us kick off at Iron Bird Cafe
  • Big names like MediaTemple, Adobe, Twilio, and Balsamiq graced us with sponsorship
  • Forward-thinking local companies like Hi-Tech Home, JP Marketing, Corrigan Law Group pitched in to make the event a smashing success.
  • Rob Walling, the City of Clovis, and the Fresno & Clovis Chamber of Commerce came together to boost two lucky teams to prizes and  success.
  • Post Echo won the Zero-Code Award
  • MyNetworkFactory took home the In-Progress Award
  • It is now widely touted as the largest gathering of tech talent in the greater Central Valley

It was a good 59Days! People have been asking all year how they can be involved in the next one. Antsy competitors are already trying to register and booth space promises to be scarce.

Well, we’re going to blow last year out of the water.  Stay tuned for details.

  1. I am looking for additional ‘development team’ members for the ‘in-progress’ category of a rad website.
email me at leapwahoo@aol.com and put in the subject line 59days of code.
    Ownership partnership; cool marketing launch.
